14th Annual Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride

The 14th Annual Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride will take flight on Saturday, October 25th! More than 300 witches donning their best witch-wear and extravagantly decorated brooms (bikes). Our route in the past has included historic downtown Delray, Atlantic Avenue, & A1A. This year we are presenting a new route that will be BACK ON ATLANTIC AVE. and PINEAPPLE GROVE!!

After the ride, the festivities continue with music and our signature awards ceremony—honoring the “Best Costume,” “Best Witch Cackle,” “Best Decorated Broom (Bike),” and “Best Group Theme.”

Are you Ready to fly?!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! It’s almost time to dust off those brooms, check your chains, and prepare to soar through Delray Beach for our 14th Annual Witches Ride!

Please read these official flight details carefully so your morning is smooth and spellbinding. ‍♀️

Meeting Spot

We’ll gather at Delray Beach City Hall (Northern Parking Lot)

 100 NW 1st Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444

You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the sparkle of sequins and the flutter of capes!

After checking in:

  1. Head to the Bicycle Safety Check (recommended – make sure your broom’s tires and chains are in good working order).
  2. Once cleared, take your place in line early so we can take off promptly at 8:30 a.m.

Parking Reminder

  • Parking is available in the northwest corner of the City Hall parking lot, just north of City Hall.
  • Additional metered parking is available at the Old School Square Garage.
  • Please note: the Delray Beach Community Center parking lot (south of City Hall) will not be available to witches this year, as it’s reserved for Kidsfest staff, volunteers, and vendors.

Restroom Access

The Delray Beach Community Center restrooms will be open at 7:00 a.m. for your pre-flight needs.

Flight Route Overview

Our enchanted route proceeds north on NW 1st Avenue — and remember, witches must stay in the RIGHT lane.

✨ Route Details:
  • Take off northbound on NW 1st Avenue.
  • Turn right on NW 3rd Street, then head southbound on Swinton Avenue.
  • Continue along Swinton and turn left on Atlantic Avenue.
  • Once you pass NE/SE 5th Avenue, make a U-turn in front of the historic (and possibly haunted!) Colony Hotel.
  • Fly west on Atlantic, then right on Pineapple Grove Way (NE 2nd Avenue).
  • Glide past Brulé and The Ray, preparing for a U-turn at NE 3rd Street.
  • Head south again on Pineapple Grove Way, then turn into Old School Square Park and end at the Pavilion Stage for our closing ceremonies.

⚠️ Flight Safety Reminders

  • Stay in your lane to avoid broom collisions — you’ll see other witches coming from the opposite direction at the U-turns!
  • Follow stanchions, barricades, and volunteer directions — especially when funneling into single file for turns.
  • Stay SINGLE FILE in tight turns. Space is limited, and our brooms are highly decorated — no pileups, please!

Remember: this is a parade of power and purpose, not a race. Follow the Alpha witch who keeps a leisurely pace. Let’s make it magical and safe for all!
