About Us

Each year, we gather to decorate our bikes (brooms), dress up in our wicked best witch-ware and raise money for the Achievement Centers for Children and Families.

Our annual Halloween charity bike ride occurs on the last Saturday in October. Our route includes historic downtown Delray, Atlantic Avenue, A1A and ends at the Delray Beach Green Market. At the end of our flight, we have contests for “Best Decorated Bike”, “Best Witch Costume” and “Best Witch Cackle”.

Charity funds are raised through rider fees for the event as well as various fund raising activities leading up to the event.  Please explore our web site to learn more about our charity group and sign up to join the fun.

What an amazing flight we had witches!! I'm still reeling! Our final hat count was 137! And we raised $6,167.00 for the Achievement Centers for Children & Families!!! You were all so beautiful and your spirit was contagious! Look what we witches can do when we put our hats together!
I want to thank the Delray Beach Police Department for escorting us! Escorting Witches is not for the faint of heart, you were just amazing! We appreciate all you do four our coven and our community!
The City of Delray Beach for allowing the witches to FLY through the streets of our beautiful village by the sea.
Patrick Halliday and the Delray Beach Bike Club for another safe, and super smooth ride! You guys are a fantastic team and we love flying with you! Human Powered Delray and Richwagen's Delray Bike & Sport for providing bike racks and sponsorship.
Lori Nolan and the Delray Beach Green Market for hosting our shenanigans! We love shopping at the end of our flight for all our favorite potion ingredients.
Thank you judges Amanda Perna Strul, Jestena Boughton, and Matthew B Farmer. Your eye for witch style is unparalleled! We are so happy you were all able to join us today!
Robert Geller our emcee who kept the chaos at the market in control.. that's not an easy feat! Witches don't like order! But these ladies were definitely charmed by you!
Our Flying Monkeys Leon Alcivar, Matt Urbany and Mike. You were on top of it all....airing up tires, tying down hats, tabulating contestant winners and keeping us refreshed. You monkeys are one of the most valuable assets a witch can have! And you are one stellar team of monkey awesomeness!
Thank you James Greene for coming out and photographing our flight and shenanigans! Once again you've captured us so beautifully! The witches love you!
Lisa Walsh and your brilliant staff at Tim Finnegans Irish Pub for hosting our Witches Brew fundraiser. Witches can be a tough crowd. But your team spares no detail when it comes to entertaining the coven. We're already excited about our visit next year! And Joanne Ryan for photographing our Witches Brew. You were amazing and what a night! I'm sure there a few of the witches that may cast a spell for evidence to disappear! So back up your files!
Thank you Jane Ellis Ratcliffe our amazing Wordsmith Witch! Every year you conjure up another masterpiece to inspire and excite the witches. This year's poem and your recital of it prove you are a master of your craft!
Thank you dearest Witches of Delray. Some of you just joined us, but some of you have been with us since the beginning five years ago when we started with 10 riders and a spell in our hearts. Every year you surpass your generosity and creativity! What an amazing honor it's been to FLY with each and every one of you! Thank you for making Witches of Delray 5th Annual Witch Ride a fantastic success and coming out to support such a wonderful organization that benefits our community directly.
Happiest Halloween Witches!
